HYPE Takes Flight with Grant from Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand to Expand STEM and Leadership Programs for Girls of Color
[Atlanta, GA – September 25, 2025] – HYPE is proud to announce it has been awarded a one-time grant from Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand’s Black Community Commitment (BCC) initiative. This transformative support will fuel HYPE’s mission to empower girls of color through STEM education and leadership development.
The grant will directly advance HYPE’s efforts to:
- Prepare the next generation of diverse tech leaders
- Strengthen educators’ capacity in underserved communities
- Expand tech career-launching opportunities for HYPE college & career ready alumnae
Launched in 2020, Jordan Brand’s Black Community Commitment is a $100 million, 10-year initiative aimed at driving generational change and creating more equitable futures for Black communities. HYPE joins a growing network of organizations working to dismantle systemic barriers and build a future where inspiration and excellence can take flight.
