What You'll Do

As Program Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of our technical education programs. You’ll lead and support instruction teams, ensure high-quality curriculum delivery, and help design learning experiences that spark curiosity and confidence in every scholar. You’ll coordinate program logistics, build relationships with families and partners, and innovate clear processes to keep our programs running smoothly—virtually and in-person.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Programs: Manage virtual and in-person tech education programs, including The HYPE Project and Summer Camps.

Support Teams: Onboard, supervise, and mentor instruction teams, ensuring quality teaching and a supportive environment.

Coordinate Logistics: Roll out curriculum plans, engage partner sites, and manage virtual platforms.

Create Experiences: Organize and facilitate tech/STEM workshops, pop-up events, and graduation ceremonies that celebrate every scholar’s journey.

Build Connections: Communicate with scholars, families, partners, and HYPE staff to foster engagement and showcase program impact.

Champion Curriculum: Finalize and maintain curriculum content, collaborate with subject experts, and train instructors on best practices and classroom management.

Drive Improvement: Gather feedback, review data, and implement changes to make our programs even better.

Pitch In: Support administrative tasks to keep our programs sustainable and thriving.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Program Management, STEM, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in program management, youth education, or nonprofit work.
  • Familiarity with tech education or STEM fields.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage logistics, and create engaging educational experiences.
  • Deep knowledge of culturally relevant curriculum development and educational technology trends.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to self-direct and thrive in a small, high-energy startup environment.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to HYPE’s mission.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience mentoring teachers and managing classroom environments.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating teaching strategies and instructional materials.
  • Experience facilitating educational technology tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $46,958 - $60,742; commensurate with experience
