Your goal in this role

We need you to get more people to know about HYPE (Hope for Youth, Inc.). This can mean a lot, you know how it goes with marketing, but we’re ready to support you in deciding what makes sense at the time. Mostly you’ll be crafting stories, working with the media, making sure everything we’re doing is on brand, collecting data, and managing our marketing budget.

Why we need you

HYPE is a non-profit that creates opportunities for girls of color to become future leaders in tech. We’re growing super quickly, so quick we went from servicing 400 students to 1,200 in a year! This is exciting and we know it means we need a dedicated marketing person to leverage our momentum.

Experience you’ll gain

The sky really is the limit because we’re just getting started. You’re going to get a ton of experience in all areas of marketing while watching your efforts change the lives of girls forever. You’ll also get opportunities to partner with Microsoft, Google and Sage who support us and work closely with an agency for a brand revamp project.

Who you’ll have for help

Your support will be minimal, a contractor to help with tactical stuff and a seasoned marketer from our board of directors to chime in here and there. You’ll also have six other HYPE colleagues in your corner to get on board how they can with what you dream up.

Meet the team

We’re a small & mighty team – seven women, supported by a seven-member board of directors, who want to create a better life for girls of color interested in a career in tech.
